Iran ahead in ITU training in Mid-east – says faculty warden
(International Telecommunication Union) training courses in Mid-east.
Gholamali Hassani Sadr told MOBNA that in a protocol signed between Information & Communication Technology ministry (ICT) and ITU, Iran has been selected as ITU’s regional spectrum management training center.
He said along with Iran countries of Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand and South Korea through separate protocols have been elected ITU centers in their respective regions.
He indicated Iran has so far held two ITU training courses in 2008.
He, speaking on the opening ceremony of a course on “Optimal usage of spectrum in cellular networks”, said four such courses are planned for this year.
He said that 30 students from 11 countries are on the course.
He referred to further protocols between Iran Telecom and ZTE and Huawei.
He said ZTE held two courses on mobile phone subjects, and for that purpose has imported some of its laboratory equipments.
He said a protocol was also signed with Huawei for shared ICT training courses in the Asia-Pacific region for which Huawei equipments will be imported in the next four months.
