Culture Committee member Mohammad-Reza Mir-Tajeddin, in conversation with MOBNA, suggested that mobile phone users should observe its code when using the phone.
He indicated that public should adhere to the standard so that there is no need for Police intervention.
The MP from Tabriz also stressed that the organizations involved should direct the public through public media.
Use of mobile phone in public, users’ general unfamiliarity with its features, long calls, its easy availability to children and juveniles and its abuse are among issues that experts believe will have long-term effects.
Some experts believe that some of existing problem rests with mobile phone operators who, with widespread advertisements, exacerbate the problem.
Currently, some operators’ prepaid SIM cards, for the lack of proper surveillance, are frequently abused.
