Police to crack down on Bluejacking in public places
“The plan is with in the framework of elevating the security in the society,” Mehdi Ahmadi, Tehran police spokesman told Mobna news agency. Ahmadi added that, “mobile phone Bluetooth technology has created some problems in the society and that the police intend to crack down on individuals who in metro or public places sent unsolicited indecent messages through Bluetooth.
He remarked that the police are able to confront any crimes, and gave assurance that complaints by families in regards to Bluetooth will be pursued by the police.
Ahmadi had earlier urged the public, who are disturbed by unsolicited phone calls, to get in touch with the police through the emergency 110 call number.
