Iran says mobile phone multi media messaging regulation finalized

Irans telecommunication ministrys Radio Communication and Regulations Organization Licensing deputy, Lotfollah Sabouhi told Mobna news agency: “Completion of the second draft of the mobile phone mms regulation is nearing finalization.”
He added that the new version of the regulation has to be approved by the authorities in order to be implemented by mobile phone operators.
The regulation will stipulate how the users utilize the service and also the duties that the mobile phone operators have to abide by.
Around a year ago, Islamic republics Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, decision making body about the countrys macro cultural issues, ordered telecommunication ministry to ask the mobile phone service providers to stop the service.
Mms is used for transmission of texts, audios, videos, animations, video clips, maps and business cards.
