Police to confront bluejacking mobile sets repair shops
Bluejacking is the sending of unsolicited messages over Bluetooth to Bluetooth-enabled devices such as mobile phones, PDAs or laptop computers.
“Police will check on mobile phone repair shops that may be the source for unsolicited bluejacking,” Iranian Police spokesman Mahdi Ahmadi told Mobna news agency.
“Some of these repair shops disseminate private data available on their customers mobile sets such as videos and images, so police will confront them,” he said.
“We have announced our intention to confront them and we will seriously do so,” he added.
“If people have any complaint on this they can inform the police by calling 110,” Ahmadi said.
Police had earlier announced to confront with those who bluejack in public places like parks and subway.
