One-third of sms messages sent by prepaid sim card subscribers

“MCI pre- and postpaid sim card subscribers daily send 60 million sms messages,” Vahid Saddoghi told Irans mobile news agency (Mobna).
He said it is possible to differentiate between sms messages sent by pre- or postpaid sim card subscribers, and estimated that around 35 percent of such messages are by prepaid and the rest by postpaid or 0910 sim card subscribers.
MCI has over 28 million subscribers who daily transmit 50 million sms messages.
The tariffs for non-Persian and Persian sms message stand at 222 and 89 rials respectively.
