MCI to offer sms banking service: MCI official

“Currently MCI has prepared pilot electronic payment via sms service,” Hamid Reza Nikoofar told Irans mobile news agency (Mobna).
“Awhile ago MCI has presented this service in Iran Elecomp and Telecom 2008 exhibition,” he reminded.
By using new sms banking service mobile phone subscribers can receive their account balance, bank card information and currency rate; also they can pay bills via sms.
In order to use sms banking services subscribers do not need to adjust their mobile set to connect to internet or activate data subscription, only sms service should be active.
