Site-Sharing sites relocated if not economically viable
“Site-Sharing will pay the rent or even acquire the sites which are economically suitable for BTS antenna installation,” Hassan Razavi told Irans mobile news agency (Mobna).
He said the rental amount must be mutually agreed by the site owner and the operator.
He urged Site-Sharing to inform the three existing mobile phone operators who share the sites of rental tariffs.
He said it was Site-Sharing’s responsibility to establish BTS sites’ rental tariffs.
MCI owns around 2,000 such sites in Tehran, while IranCell and Taliya own 500 and 300 sites respectively.
Site-Sharing Co has been established to oversee and manage BTS antenna installations in Tehran.
MCI, IranCell, Taliya and Tehran Municipality have each a representative on the company’s board of directors.
