Irancell sim cards not welcomed due to low quality: telecom expert

“Most subscribers use these sim cards as their secondary or tertiary sim cards,” Sadegh Gouyande told Irans mobile news agency (Mobna).
“If foreign operator MTN – Irancell invests more in improving the quality of its network instead of advertisement to attract subscribers it would attract more subscribers than other operators,” he added.
“Irancell had ability to attract 80 percent of Mobile Company of Iran subscribers but it can not use the opportunity,” he said.
“Operators should increase their network quality at first and then offer value added services, but Iranian operators in order to attract subscribers try to offer value added services and decrease fees,” Gouyande said.
“Third operator presence can affect operators competition to offer better services with more quality. Also Irancell will increase its quality instead of decreasing prices,” he continued.
