Mobile set smuggling not uprooted with current import tariff

“The cut in the activities of authorized mobile companies and 90 percent of the market being taken up by smuggled mobile sets indicates smuggling is flourishing,” Javad Asghar-zadeh told Mobna news agency.
“The problem will persist as long as mobile smuggling is not dealt with seriously,” he added.
“Lack of surveillance on the mobile phone market and the high import tariff have led to more than 90 percent of mobile market being besieged by smuggled sets,” he said.
“It is hoped that an independent organization is formed to control such state of affairs,” he continued.
