Iran Telecom assets entice foreign investors
foreign investors.
Sadegh Gouyande, in conversation with MOBNA, said for a company so attractive to investment in, Telecom shares should not be undervalued.
He stressed that giant telecommunication operators from the UK, Russia, China and Finland are eager to invest in Iran Telecom.
He believes the country’s telecommunication network leaves much to be desired, and foreign companies could enrich the network with high-quality services.
He emphasized that foreign companies may purchase up to 49% of Telecom shares, and since only 20% of the shares will remain with the government, foreign investors will then become major shareholders.
He indicated that the government has pledged to allow transfer of profits of foreign investments abroad while guaranteeing the safety of the original capital.
