MCI to offer 5 dollars recharge cards via internet: MCI official
“Mobile Company of Iran is ready to offer mms service (multi media messaging service) in the coming week with Radio Communication and Regulation Organization approval,” MCI managing director Vahid Sadoughi told Irans mobile news agency (Mobna).
RCRO is the telecommunication ministrys regulatory body that sets regulation and issues license of operation for the phone operators.
“Currently mms service is being offered on some mobile sets as pilot phase in Telecom 2008 exhibition,” he added.
“Currently three contractors produce recharge cards, but they do not have ability to produce enough recharge cards,” Sadoughi said.
“After GPRS service passes its pilot phase and receives technical approval, the service will be offered round the clock,” Sadoughi added.
“Also GPRS will be offered to prepaid and 0910 sim cards subscribers after it is offered to postpaid subscribers,” he said.
The 9th international exhibition of telecommunications, information technology and networking has started as of 22 November and will be held up to 25 November in Tehran international exhibition fairground.
