Parliament report on TCI held by committee

“The report has been withheld by the head of industries and mines committee although it was completed some time ago,” Nader Ghazpour told Mobna news agency.
He said he had no idea why the report had been held up.
“A copy of the report, which pinpoints many TCI transgressions, will be sent to the Supreme Audit Council, another to the General Inspection Organization and some to agencies concerned to identify the violators,” he added.
He had recently announced the report would be out by June.
Issues such as amount of fund available to TCI directors, Telecom Research Center activities, landline and mobile phone production costs, TCI tenders and auctions in the past four years, and payments to TCI contractors have been included in the report.
Other included items are: TCI’s raising of mobile phone sms tariffs without authorization, delay in production of equipment for six million mobile phone lines, lack of transparency in TCI financial documents and the transfer of TCI and its subsidiaries’ assets after TCI privatization.
