 More than 123,000 mobile phone MCI sim card sold in Khorasan Razavi
Also in the same period 11,966 landline phones have been installed in this province indicating that mobile phone lines will surpass landlines soon.
Installation and launching 47 mobile phone BTS (Base Transceiver Station) sites, installing 9595 landline numbers in Mashhad (the provincial capital) and offering communication access to 50 villages are among major activities accomplished by the Khorasan Razavi telecommunication during the mentioned period.
Base Transceiver Station (BTS) is the equipment which facilitates the wireless communication between user equipments (UE), in this case a mobile phone and the network.
