TCI investigation report on Parliament floor soon
“A draft report has been submitted to all committee members and they are reviewing it,” Seyyed Sharif Husseini told Mobna news agency.
He said the final report would be discussed on Parliament’s floor in the near future.
Issues such as the amount of fund available to TCI directors, Telecom Research Center activities, landline and mobile phone cost prices, TCI tenders and auctions in the past four years, and payments to TCI contractors will be included in the report.
Other included items are: TCI’s raising of mobile phone sms tariffs without prior authorization, delay in production of equipment for six million mobile phone lines, lack of transparency in TCI financial documents, and transfer of TCI and its subsidiaries’ assets after TCI privatization.
TCI subscribers’ deposits now add up to 50 trillion rials, the fate of which has not been decided after TCI privatization, an issue that the Supreme Audit Court report has referred to.
It seems the deposits issue will be the most important item of the report.
