ICT ministry’s PR department quotes Vafa Ghaffarian, Deputy-Minister and Iran Telecom CEO as saying the project’s test phase was prepared last year after the Cultural Revolution Council’s approval had been obtained.
ACS provides subscribers with a number of scientific, educational and recreational services, and the project will help users gain high-quality access to multi-media sources including sound and vision.
He indicated the project will be first tried on small scale so that its technical, marketability and content could be assessed.
He added that after reaching the project’s tender results by the end of spring, the timetable for the pilot phase will be drawn.
He indicated the content and quality of the service will be closely monitored by the IIRB, universities and the clergy.
