MCI service bureaus to be launched in Saudi two holy sites: MCI official
All Muslims are required to make the hajj to Mecca, in western Saudi Arabia, at least once in their lifetime if they have the means to do so.
“Iranian pilgrims that are MCI subscribers can head to these bureaus in case of problems with their sim cards or if their mobile sets are lost,” MCI telecommunication service and marketing deputy MohammadMahdi Otoufi told Mobna news agency.
“Since roaming calling fee is high it is recommended that pilgrims receive calls from Iran,” he added.
Roaming calling fee from MCI subscribers in Mecca to another MCI subscriber in Iran is 12000 rials (1.2 dollars) per minute and call fee from MCI subscriber in Iran to MCI subscribers in Mecca and Medina is 3500 rials (35 cents) per minute.
“If pilgrims sim cards have security code they should activate it, so if their mobile set lost it will not be used by another person,” he advised.
