Telecommunication new capital should be registered as its asset: official
“According to government decree, telecommunication capital is 35 trillion rials (3.7 billion dollars), but by increasing provincial telecommunication bureaus capital, the TCI capital has been increased to 45 trillion rials (4.7 billion dollars) which should added to the TCI asset,” Tehran Stock exchange managing director Ali Rahmani told Mobna news agency.
“Anticipating earning per share for (EPS) for the March 2008 – March 2009 period and pricing of the TCI per share would not be possible, until telecommunication basic capital is determined,” he added.
“Telecommunication previous debts are clear and cited in the companys reports. But if any undeclared debts are found out then the telecommunication has to pay these debts,” he said.
“Telecommunication internal auditing is weak. Selling off telecommunication stock encountered with many problems and its stock pricing will not be done easily,” Rahmani said.
“Currently the subscribers subscription fee is still held by the Telecommunication Company,” the official added.
Telecommunication Company of Iran was quoted on the main board of the Tehran Stock Exchange as its 447th company on July 19, 2008.
